Here you go for those of you who have been giving me crap! (Mom).
Ashlynn is a little over 13 months. She's hillarious. She now has 2 teeth. She loves to run around, sit on her ball, and push her 4 wheeler. Another favorite game is dumping out the dog's water before anyone can get to her. The daycare teachers love her, which is good, because I think she's going to give them (and me) a run for their money.
Ashlynn recently had her first camping trip and loved it. I think she'd be outside all day every day if she could. We'll see if she still likes to be outside in the winter......
We've had a pretty busy summer. Grandma's 80th Birthday Bash, Evel Knievel Days, which she loved, the Folk Festival.........she enjoyed dancing with auntie Laura......and she was a dancing fool at the Irish Festival that was at the beginning of this month. :) SHE LOVES TO DANCE. A new trick too....she spins around in circles really fast, then stops and enjoys the dizziness. LOL
Ashlynn is 11 months old today. Wow. She is a walking maniac, and sometimes it looks like she tries to run! She has ONE tooth, but sure uses it to chew her food. We've discovered she LOVES peas, and HATES avacado.She has lots of attitude, and is really starting to test her boundaries. Some days I have to laugh......some days I want to scream.
She is really strong...it is a two man job to change her diaper or get her dressed. For the last couple days she's been good about going in her car seat......I've been bribing her with puffs.
Her cousin Zoe is coming to visit next month, and they are very close in age. It will be interesting.
Im planning her 1st birthday....it will be pretty big I think.......She loves daycare....she flirts with one of the boys there, and she is one of the "older" babies in the class now. She's really into hugging and "kissing" if thats what you want to call it. :) She's also become very interested in the dogs.....she loves them. Roxy is still jealous, but Ashlynn and Buddy play quite a bit.
Thought I'd swing by and give you all an update on Miss Ashlynn's new adventures.
She really wanted to move..so she started crawling. It began with a downward facing dog....and some intersting scooting, but she's got it down pretty well now! Almost as soon as she started crawling, she began trying to pull herself up. She succeeded the other day at 6:30 in the morning. I looked over, and she'd pulled herself to standing in her crib and thought she was hot stuff!
She's climbing on everything now, so things just got really busy, but its fun! She can walk very well with someone holding her hands......and she loves it. Im assuming she will be walking fairly soon!
My mom and I swore that Ashlynn was signing the word "milk". The daycare confirmed it today. They said she finished her baby food, then after that she usually gets milk, which she hadn't gotten yet. At that point she signed the word "milk" to the teacher!
Yep thats right. We got Ashlynn's ears pierced! Yay! We took a girls trip to Spokane to shop. I'd wanted to get her ears done for a while, but realized I was a chicken and kept putting it off. Thankfully, Colleen pushed me into just doing it. So.....grandma Cindy held her, Colleen took pictures....and Irene and I left the store completely till it was all over! They turned out beautifully and they haven't bothered her since! Thanks guys!
This year was the first Halloween for Ashlynn. I hope she grows to love the holiday as much as I do! Gramma Cindy got her this costume for a hell of a deal and its SOOOOOO cute! No candy for Ashlynn this year, but she didn enjoy being in the Halloween parade at daycare! It must have been a long day though, because as we were trick or treating at GG's house......she zonked out! :-)
So I've realized that I have become one of THOSE parents. You know, the kind that's always rushing around, running late, and leaving their child's stuff all over the place. Its funny because I'm used to being overly organized and prepared. Not anymore. Yesterday for example......Got up at 5am ate breakfast, then went back to bed because I was cold and went back to sleep. Woke up late so by the time I got Ashlynn and I ready, I was showered but my hair looked like crap and I had no time to put on any makeup. We rush into daycare and I realized I'd left Ashlynns blanket and coat there the day before....I think the daycare girls think Im a little strange sometimes.......I wouldn't change it for the world, but things are very hectic! :-)
